With two sessions of hand stitching I rounded the 4th corner and now just have most of one short side left to stitch on Autumn Coneflower 2.
Seven more strip sets for 9 patches were completed and now I have 12 sets ready to be pressed. Then I can crosscut them and sew the 9 patch blocks.
I sewed the long seam in another flannel backing but didn't turn on the iron yesterday. Now I have plenty of pressing to do.

I hear you about not turning on the iron. I am sometimes in the mood to just sew, sometimes to iron, sometimes to pull fabric and plan. I always have at least three active projects going at one time.
it is always so nice to get the binding done and know you have another finished.
Almost finished with the binding, right? It always feels so good to round that final corner;)))
