A few things.............

 I wasn't very organized yesterday but I got a few things accomplished.  This quilt came back from my longarm friend Robin and it was time to trim it to prepare for binding.  This one is called Autumn Coneflower 2 and you can see the whole quilt here.   This one is made of batiks and it is one of my favorite quilts so I think it needs a hand stitched binding.  I need to look for a suitable fabric today.

I also added one more batting strip to a pieced batting to make it large enough for the bright color flannel quilt.  I also cut the 2 pieces needed for backing and I'll sew them together today.

I didn't have anything lined up to sew last night so I grabbed box one of two with 2" strips and started making some 9 patches.

There are 2 layers of strips in the box (and the same in the other box) that I started cutting about 20 years ago and continued adding to the boxes for several years.

I started making some strip sets.  I'll probably work on these for the next 2 nights as I contemplate what quilt to make next.  This will be a long term project that I'll use as a fill in when I don't have anything else planned to be sewn.

You asked how much I buy and how do I decide which patterns of a new line to purchase.  I'm only doing fill in for my extensive Kaffe stash (I have every fabric starting with #1 in the 1990s) so the amount I purchase wouldn't be the same as someone who is newer at purchasing Kaffe fabric.  I usually only get 1/2 yard, which is the minimum on most online shops, of most of the fabrics.  I get 1 yard if I recognize it as a winner right away.  As far as which fabrics do I purchase from a new line, it is usually a color that grabs me or a design that I like, no other reason.  I will usually not buy any larger yardage until it goes on sale the following year.
