I have kept these Petunias alive, not all of the others have survived.
Yesterday was an everything but sewing day. I did pet some fabric but best laid plans didn't work out.
In the morning I baked a batch of cookies and picked up the clutter in the living room. Afternoon, mailed a package, picked tomatoes and spent an hour pulling weeds in the back garden again. I must have done something else but I sure can't remember what.
Today I plan on doing some die cutting. It's supposed to get up to 90 but low humidity. It still sounds hot to me.

61 here this morning with a 59 DP--nice and cool...have fun die cutting... I am cutting 2" squares from scrap leftovers...hugs, Julierose
I have one pot that some petunias are still growing in. For awhile I had them in full sun then August came and I had to move them to the shade as it had gotten way too hot - and they stopped to flower. Now I have them in part shade and I have a few flowers coming back but I need to water every other day or they look about dead. I don't think I will bother with them for much longer although I could keep them alive until November I bet.
As I write it's still morning-cool but with a cloudless sky I know the temps will rise steadily. Stay cool!
What delightful petunias! My sweet AMIL always had petunias on her front porch.
Some days are just given over to tasks other than sewing.
Starting tomorrow, we're to have 5 or 6 days in the mid to upper 90s*F, so I plan to machine quilt the 51" square baby quilt that has had me stymied for months. Fingers crossed the fusible batting stays fused and the backing stays unwrinkled.
Hugs!
Some days are like that - we get a lot of things done but they all tend to blend together into a busy day. Your petunias are so pretty - the commercial beds here are being replanted with autumn colors. I know it is September but I"m just not ready for oranges and browns and burgundies.
Good to see one petunia survivor ~ The heat has been brutal this year. But soon we’ll be complaining about our frigid winter temps. We woke up to see a ‘sciff’ of snow on our mountain tops this a.m. it had melted by 9:00 a.m. and predicted to hit 88 today its already 70 at noon here. We’ve had some nights 70 degrees all night this summer.

The petunias are very pretty! There are days that those tasks need done and eat up our day.
