Just a little more..........
Just 75" more to hand stitch on the binding. I stitched for 3 1/2 hours last night with TV on to keep me company. I'll probably stitch a little in the morning today and then finish in the evening. My 65th class reunion is this afternoon at a classmate's house a little over 2 miles from where I lived as a child. There might only be 15 of us out of a class of 48. Some live too far away to come. Many have passed and will be there in spirit as we talk about the good times of the class of 1958.

My 60th was this summer and either I never got the notice or I knew we would be out of town. I bet it was a small gathering, too. One guy emailed me to say I was missed and to apologize for being such a jerk when I was dating his older brother!
Love your reunion comments! I have been helping plan the 50th reunion for my high school classmates of 1973. We had 141 graduates, 30 have passed away. For our Oct. 7 reunion we have 90 attendees. About 58 are classmates, the rest guests.Have fun!
Good work on that binding--it seems to take forever to get around quilts, doesn't it?
A few years ago my DH and I went to his 60th reunion and as we were entering, I noted that a whole lot of elderly people were going in...and I said "There must be another 'do' going on"--then I realized the "elderly" were our group!! Hahaha we got a good laugh from that one...time does move so fast...
We had 5" of rain yesterday and overnight!! One small leak in our tv room near the chimney...DH was up until 4 am monitoring--I see a nap in his future...;000
Hugs, Julierose
have fun at your class reunion. I have never stayed in touch with any of the people I went to school with and never regretted that - teenagers can be such cruel people LOL. I do wish I had a better experience to remember. You were getting out of school around the time I went in - my class graduated in 70
Enjoy the reunion! (My husband is also class of 1958.)
Hand stitched binding truly is needle artwork at its best. Good to hear you’re taking a break and going to your class reunion. Enjoy every minute of it.

You've made wonderful progress on the cheerful binding and am glad you didn't push yourself to do the quilting on the long arm, too.
Hope you enjoy the reunion get-together. Our graduating class from high school in Elmhurst, a western suburb of Chicago, had 825 kids in it! I'm still in touch with several of those friends.
Hugs!
I really love this quilt. It must have been a joy to work on xo
You are making great progress on getting that binding done.
Hope you had a great time at the reunion.
The quilt colors are snappy and rich. Nice job!
