I decided to cut one strip of the lime batik into squares to see if I was going to like it. This is the first 34 of the 16 patch blocks. The quilt will have 8 across and 10 down so this is just a sampling. I like it so I will be cutting more of the squares and sewing the 34 duplicate 16 patch blocks. Then I'll decide how many more blocks I need to piece.
We had several hours of light rain yesterday and got .35". We're still at a deficit but I was happy we got this much.

You couldn't have picked a better fabric than the lime, it just fits in so well. Couldn't quite believe my eyes with your last post, rows of stitched together sets, wonder how you'll decide to use them.
I wouldn't have thought that lime green but it sure works right. We finally got some rain last night and maybe off and on through Sunday - they say an inch total so I hope so
I really like how the lime batik interrupts those 16-patch blocks every once in a while. Really neat idea...;)))

I still look at some of my wall quilts and bed quilts and remember my delight at finding the perfect fabric for alternate blocks, borders, or binding when I was making them.

I really like the way you’ve randomly placed the lime batik fabric. Like the leaves are
popping our organically. And the Lime is a great choice to add brightness to the 16 patch blocks. Love it!
