Sewn at last............

It seemed like it took a long time to get the pieces sewn into a top.  I worked on it over 3 days and now I see one piece is turned wrong.  I'll pick that out and turn it today.  It is 41" x 59.5".  I'm thinking about putting a facing on this one instead of a binding so the design will go all the way to the edge when finished.

My end of the day un-winding time continues to be knitting dishcloths.  The one on the left reminds me of geraniums with red blooms.  I'll have to wait another month before I can plant some real geraniums in my porch pots.  Possible snow showers again tomorrow.... but 60s and 70s next week.

I had to zoom in to find the 'mistake'. I've not seen fabric like that before but you've turned it into another beautiful quilt top. I managed to sew 2 pouches yesterday so hoping for big and better things to come. I've still not bought any new plants for my pots, with the weather being so unpredictable, but hopefully soon - geraniums are on the list :)

Really lovely "put-together" of these, Wanda ;)))
My relaxation lately is crossword puzzles...and some hand stitchery work...

Pretty top! I know you will make quick work out of fixing that piece. I have got to get my seeds started. I saved a bunch of marigold and coneflower seeds from last year. I have some zucchini seeds that have sprouted and they need to go into dirt.

So lovely Wanda. It's got a very aged patina to it, reminding me of old wallpaper that might be discovered during a renovation. I really like this.

Well thats really a tough eye exercise, I enlarged it also and still could not find the turned piece. I’ll check again after my walk. It really is an awesome work of art, from fabric to design.

I looked and looked and could not see the piece that was turned wrong . . . are you sure, LOL?
Happy quilting,
Connie :)

I know you'll "fix" it - but I'd leave it in - it could be the "I SPY" block - "one of these is not like the others" - LOL - ;))

I also had great difficulty finding the wrongly turned split-rect. Having found it in a zoomed-in image I still had trouble finding it in the original pic. Variable value, recently discussed by Barbara Brackman, is well represented here. I continue to be in awe of your masterful handling of color and value.

This quilt is so pretty! I'm really looking forward to the black/white black/red quilts.

It turned out beautifully. It as tough finding the one sewn incorrectly. The dishcloths are a great unwinding project.
