Every time I walked into the studio I moved blocks. That went on all day but I didn't want to sew it until I see it again this morning.
I have a couple quilts in mind for my black and white batiks. It will take awhile to cut them so this will be an all week project. The black and white batiks were really popular in the mid to late 1990s and the majority of these were purchased while I was working at a quilt shop. Lots of them are Princess Mirah batiks. Hoffman came out with black and whites later so they got added to the mix too. For the 2 quilts I have in mind I won't add any color. I'm hoping to come up with a third pattern that could use a mix of color and then I can cut all 3 at the same time.

the B&W fabrics will make quite an interesting piece--I've only ever used B&W as borders...hugs, Julierose
did you have trouble with the black Princess Mirah pieces bleeding? I had a red piece and I had to really tackle that one - it took forever to get it to the point that it didn't bleed
The diamond quilt blocks are so pretty and will make a fabulous quilt! I can't wait to see what you make with all those wonderful B&W prints!

The diamond blocks have an intriguing watery shimmer! I'll be sure to tune in to see what becomes of the black-and-white batiks.
I predict your ‘Weather Report’ looks mighty fine to me too. Couldn’t have created a better design than those diamonds, it really shows off the fabric. And what fun ahead, to create with your containers full black ‘n white pieces.

I love the diamond pattern. The colors remind me of a frosted stained glass window or ice cream. Yummy!
I remember buying a few B&W batiks...never did anything with them. Thanks for reminding me just how long ago that was!!!! Can't wait to see what you do with yours!!!!

I just love black and white prints and have been toying with the idea of making a black and white quilt for a few years now. In fact, I've kept a Pinterest board for black and white quilts to get my creative juices flowing. There's some fun stuff out there!
