Some out of state family was in town yesterday so we had a family gathering. I made frosted creams in the morning to take with me.
I dug 3 Sedum plants to send home with them today.
While I watched 2 shows on TV last night I sewed 8 more 3" nine patches and paired fabrics for an additional 8 blocks. I didn't get the neutral quilt top pressed so I'll do that today and post its photo tomorrow.
It was 28 degrees when I got up early yesterday morning. I didn't see any frost on the grass and the flowering trees in town seem to be okay. We still have a chance of a frost up until Mother's Day so no tender plants will be put into the ground yet.

We woke up to mid-40s here. I hope to put in some more bedding plants this week.
The little 9 patch blocks with the dark fabric are fun! It got down to 32 here this morning, but the high will be 61. It will be a good week to get outside and get some yard work done since it is going to stay cool all week. It is nice to share plants. The cora bells you sent me a couple years ago are doing well. All my cora bells look better right now than they did all last year. I guess they enjoyed the warmer winter and all that rain. The weeds have gone nuts so I am going to have to spend a considerable amount of time on my hand and knees. It will be a good test to see how I physically react. Now I just need to find some homes for all the Lenten rose babies!
we had a frost warning for last night but it was 40 this morning when I got up I had brought the tomato plants inside just in case seeing as I hadn't planted them - they go in the ground this week. Forecast is not 50's at night.

My magnolia tree/shrub--I cannot tell which it is!--is in glorious bloom and so far the deer have not eaten all the blossoms...
49 here now and sunny with a still chilly breeze sweeping off the ocean...
I gave my waxed amaryllis a pep talk last night--let's see how that goes!! It is seemingly very stubborn--nothing more happening--it may be a bust!!;(((

Nine patches are wonderful. Never get tired of them especially with the colors you chose. Sounds like a real busy time for you. It has been cold here and the tulips are ready to open but delayed which is ok because sometimes they go too fast.
Hooray for family gatherings! And I remember all too well how long we had to wait in northern IN before we could plant safely - peas were St. Patrick's Day, and Mother's Day was a big marker but to be super safe we had to wait until almost Memorial Day. Long time ago now.
Love the 9 patches and am so glad you could visit with family from far away!
Is your recipe for frosted creams here? I have yet to find your recipes though I have searched high and low.
It was 36*F here this morning, but starting tomorrow, we're forecast to warm up again.
