Happy Mother's Day

No quilting content today. Yesterday was the graveside service and lunch for my brother-in-law who passed away in Feb. He was my husband's oldest brother. We had a beautiful day for it yesterday, today is blustery cold and rainy.

Here are the rest of my hostas. Blogger had a hard time loading the pictures this morning, and then they were in there twice. Blogger has seemed really slow the last few days. So here are the last ones, this one has a shorter and broader leaf.
This one is a sun lover and has curly leaves. I have split this one so each part is rather small right now. The great thing about hostas is that they reproduce with separate plants right next to the mother. If you go out 2 days after a rain and dig one up you can usually pull the babies off with your hands by wiggling the parts back and forth. The roots are intertwined but come apart as you wiggle it.
I have shown this one before but love this picture of it.

I only have two varieties of hosta's... your photo's inspire me to add a few more. One of my favorite perennials for sure.

Hope you had a nice day... One of our families stopped by the other two called in. Felt good to be remembered.
