Today is Tuesday......

How many times today will I have to remind myself that today is not Monday, repeating to myself Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday.

Rows 1 through 8 out of 10 are sewn together now.

And then I folded it and pinned to make room for the bottom 2 rows.

Then I placed a few pieces up on the wall to continue the design.  I'll work on placing the final pieces on the wall today.

The red Weigela is starting to bloom.  It is my favorite.  I need to trim back some branches after the blooming so my neighbors won't get hit in the face by branches when they mow that area.

My Bleeding Heart only has 3 blooms.  I won't give up on it yet, it might still produce more.

In that same part of the garden the little white star flowers are showing up, mixed in with the Lungwort/Pulmonaria.

This is the first volunteer tomato plant in the raised bed.  It's about 8" tall.

About 10" away there is another little plant that might be a tomato plant.  I will be able to tell when it gets a little larger.  I didn't buy any Sun Gold tomato plants this year, figuring that I should get a couple volunteers.  Last year there were 5 and they all produced fruit.  I gave 4 of them to my neighbor because I had already purchased a plant last year.

LOL! By the end of the day we should be recalibrated. Love the way the new quilt is shaping up.

The quilt is coning along nicely, I've got to get started planting a few things ,with all this rain,if I had a rain barrel it'd be full by now 😄

Haha it will be Monday for us too! That red weigela is beautiful. Yay for volunteer tomato plants - I have a few pop up too, but I'm not sure they will get to the blooming stage before it gets too hot.

I spent four days at quilt retreat and then came home for a recovery day Monday. My sense of time is really messed up too!

The quilt top is looking great! My California poppies are starting to bloom. I have a lot that self seeded from last year. Once I get my center flower bed mulched with some Sweet Peat, I will throw down some of the giant California poppy seeds I bought. I don't have anything else blooming like you do. I do see buds on the Shasta daisies and the coneflowers.

Lovely quilt in progress, Wanda--love the colors.
I am having trouble remembering that today is Tuesday and not Monday too. Long holiday weekends will do that to you!!
64 here at 8 a.m. and sunny--hope to sit out a bit if that ocean wind would die down.
I stitched quite a bit yesterday on Ellie--coming along...
hugs, Julierose

It’s our age that these holiday’s mess up our week days …. I don’t

I get especially off because our trash pickup is on Mondays so of course it was picked up today instead of…..reinforcing the “it’s Monday” feelings, lol.

if the only test they gave for seeing if you have dementia was what day is it? I have a feeling most of us would fail. I have a hard time remembering what day of the week it is - especially if something takes me out of my daily routine - when one no longer has a schedule for work or volunteer work, meetings or something the days run one into another. The quilt on the wall is looking great.

Like Cherie, our trash pick up was delayed until today. Sunday night = put the trash cans out (not this time . . .) Trash cans at the curb = Monday. By tomorrow I should be back on track with the days of the week.

I hit the publish before I was done with today’s comment… and now I don’t remember what I was going to add to the “I don’t” 🤷‍♀️.

Your progress creating this quilt top is stunning. I sure like what I’m seeing each day. Plus your blossoming plants and bushes.
