Small projects.................

I finished quilting the second table topper last night and will get it trimmed today and get the binding sewn on.  This one is more scrappy where the first one had matching strips at the corners.

I pulled out all of my trays of 2" x 3.5" rectangles and worked on feeding the new cuts (shown at the center on top of the trays) into their color group.  The trays were all a mess, not straightened up after making the last quilt.

This is what they all look like now, ready for the next project.

Now I need to get the 2.5" x 4.5" rectangles taken care of.

I'm anxious to get my porch pots planted but we are in for some more cool days and nights.  No frost warnings, but just a little cool for new plantings.

How lovely--12 trays of colors to work with;))) I just cannot seem to get myself to pre-cut shapes--I keep saying i will, but it always gets shunted to the back of the line.
We got two lovely big, pottery pots for outdoor planting yesterday--I hope to find a couple of azaleas to put in them as the stonescape is lovely but a bit on the bare side for my taste...

55 here today--a bit on the cooler side--still too early for planting tomatoes I feel...
Hope your weekend is a good one hugs, Julierose

I guess I’ve never seen the way you organize your rectangles, but how easy to “feed” them and work with them. I’m inspired! I have squares that are stacked in old file folder boxes by color but not by shade or tint.

They may be messy, but your trays are pretty! We woke up to 58 degrees here.

I wonder how cold your cool nights will be - I thought we were done with the 40's and now this weekend 44 tonight and 46 Sunday night, not really cold enough to bring any of the house plants back inside but colder than I expected to get only 70 for a high today. I like how you have all those pieces lined up - those trays sure do come in handy - mine are empty right now but I have about 8 of them put away.

Great idea with the trays! I don't have the room for trays but it would make sorting and piecing easier.
