I moved the blocks another 4" to the left and now the width of the layout will fit on the design wall. The height though is not ideal. I have to add 2 more rows at the bottom. I may end up sewing the top part and double it up on the wall to design the last 2 rows. I have 35 of 80 blocks sewn. There are 40 of each style block.
Here is how much the tomato plants have grown. May 11 on the left and May 23 on the right. This one is the Early Girl.
The other plants, same dates, are halfway up to the second ring on the cages. Now that our cold week is past, they should grow faster.
The Pansies have enjoyed the cooler weather. I was so happy to find a few orange ones. They are the scented ones.
The Petunias in my porch pots are white with black veins. I had never seen this kind before. I hope they survive. I have mixed luck with Petunias; some years they take over and grow huge and other years I struggle to keep them alive.

I really like the white petunias with the black veins which are new to me. It is amazing to how fast your tomato plants have grown. Btw, I find it so irritating when I put blocks up only to have to move them to make room…..you’d think I’d learn to start at the very top left hand edge .
I love that layout it is looking good. It always seems that when I plant petunia's they do well for a little while and then they barely get flowers on them - good luck on yours.
Your quilt top looks like a blossoming flower each day it grows more beautiful. Your pansies look happy and healthy and I too have never seen a white petunia with center black veins. Unique and pretty.
Your layout looks so pretty, I love the look of this already. I've never seen a white petunia like that - it's so unique. All your plants look healthy and lush!
I like the layout with the center four patch. Pansies are one of my earliest flower memories. A neighbor had them. I was fascinated with their little faces. Still a favorite!
I love that play of light and dark on your wall set up, Wanda.
I am now semi-back in the "land of the living" it seems. :)))
Finally!! I think this has been one of the longest weeks I can remember...
60 here but still cool--at least to me--hoping your weekend is a good one
Hugs, Julierose
