Searching the stash.....................

Yesterday I was searching for Philip Jacobs fabrics for the triangles I need for my current project.  Here are four that I'm pretty sure will work but I think I want to find at least four more that will work too.

While I was in the basement I finished pressing all of the small floral triangle squares.  I had a pile of larger squares too that were added to the same storage box.  I also pressed a pile of fabrics that are waiting to be cut.

I pulled out three books to look through after seeing them on Maureen's blog.  It's fun to analyze the quilts.

I found one quilt in the book that I made many years ago.  I never took a full photo of my quilt.  I think that was back before I had my first digital camera.  This book was published in 2002 and I wasn't taking pictures of my large quilts at that time.  There are many quilts that never got photographed.

This is the only photo I have of it and the heart quilt is covering up a large portion of it.  I gifted it to a family member.  It was so large I don't know where I could have photographed it anyway.

Now you have me looking for these books! I also found one called "Best Of Blended Quilts". Those are beautiful quilts you made.

I see I misspelled my blog name on the comment above - sheesh. It should be Texas Quilt Gal.

nice old books - I think I have gotten rid of most of the oldest of my books and I know I never had any like the ones you show. There are many quilts I never took photos of and don't even remember all of them now. My great niece sent me a photo a couple months ago of one that I made her when she was a baby and she had saved it and using it for her baby now - I had completely forgotten what it looked like. It is close to 30 years old now (the quilt)

It was fun to see Victoria’s Garden in the book and yours on the bed with the Hearts. Pressing your little squares and going through some old books was worth the trip to your basement studio. Made for such a pretty post today.

I love paging through older quilting books--some lovely patterns.
Late commenting today as my granddaughter, Cassidy, graduated from College --"Cum Laude"--no less;))) this morning...she now has a Math degree under her belt. We are so proud of her...
69 here and humid out there--darkening skies that threated rain--but nothing so far...
hugs, Julierose

I love going through my old books for quilt ideas. I'm so glad I started blogging so that I now have good documentation of the quilts I make. There are lots from years ago that I don't have any photos of.

The full picture you're showing is one of the quilts I marked as a "would like to make" in the book - just need more time!!
I do like your interpretation of the quilt on your bed and also the squares making up hearts and blocks .

I can get totally lost in quilting books. Also just thinking about what your stash looks like is like imagining a treasure chest of pure gold.
