Just a few more butterflies

This is my favorite butterfly picture so far and I have just made it my desktop image so I can see it every day. The red in the background is the last few cherry tomatoes on its vine in a pot. I was so happy to capture so many colors in one shot. Be sure to click on it for a bigger image. My stone house makes a good backdrop for the flowers and butterflies.
I have a couple more shots for tomorrow and will have a report on the class reunion.

Gorgeous! I can't believe you still have this many butterflies! It is too cold here at night and getting colder during the day, I think they are long gone.

Those are gorgeous! Have you thought about printing them and having them framed?

Your pictures are beautiful. Have you ever thought of putting some of them on fabric and use that fabric in a quilt? Have a great time at your 50th class reuion mine is next year. There goes the secret of my age although I am one of the youngest in my class. I am not ready for fall pictures. I guess I haven't recovered from last winter.

We hardly see any butterflies here anymore except for the dreaded Cabbage White. Such a shame. I remember as a child seeing so many varieties from Painted Ladies to Blue Nuns. These are gorgeous pictures.

MORE wonderful photos. They are truly spectacular. Have you had any schooling in photography or are your terrific shots simply the result of your love of nature and your obvious eye for color? Whatever the reason, keep it up AND keep sharing, okay? :)

Could these colors be more stunning???!!! They are such a contrast to what I'm seeing outside my window right now as everything is dulling into fall.
