A lot of the commenters are anonymous so I have no way of contacting you to thank you for your comments (but thank you). I love all of the suggestions because they help me see things I am not seeing already. Several of you have asked about doing more than one border so here are two samples of it that way. Here are my 2 favorite fabrics so far combined. I don't want the border shouting BORDER. I want it to be a soft extension of the center. Be sure to click on it to see the zebra print clearly. Here is the other that several of you suggested. I just used the left over blocks that I already had and they filled 2 sides. Then as I looked at it through the camera lens, I am saying, yes, only 2 pieced borders and then maybe just a narrow strip of batik on the outside at right and a little wider soft batik across the bottom.
I'm off to get my hair cut right now so I'll work on it some more when I get home.

The last one is my favorite of everything you've shown so far. I really like it! Not too crazy about the double border in the first pic, though.
This is fun. :)
I like the first one but if you don't want the border screaming border, the second uses the fabric in a "non-border" kind of way...
Oh yes! Love the second one.
Exactly what Suzan said........
I don't know how you'll ever make a decision. They are all beautiful. Glad it's you not me deciding.
I like the double border - probably my very favourite. But I do like my borders!
Oh, my, I have been following this quilt since you started. Everytime you asked for a preference, I just could not decide. When I first started to read this post all I saw was the first one and I thought, "oh that's a good choice". But then there was the second one and I was back to where I've been all along. I love them all and cannot decide. I don't think I can handle any more design choices.
Now if you had enough blocks to make TWO quilts... chuckle. Actually, I like the first one, particularly when I click on it and make it bigger. The colors look like they are floating on a black and white background that is behind and in the distance. Maybe not in real life?
You are having fun and so are the rest of us... but we are not doing all the work!
First one! First one!
I like the first one.
PHOTO NUMBER TWO! Is my choice for today. Compliments the main portion and then some.
I agree with all who preferred #2 ~ I vote for the second one also. As it definitely does not say border.
This adds and finishes off your whimsical creation of squares in this piece.

Wanda, I'm so happy you are showing a pieced border. It always confused me how quilters put so much effort into the center of the top and by the time they get to the border they attach these big pieces of plain fabric. It's like the center and borders have little in common. I like it when the motif is carried throughout. It's more cohesive. For balance though, it should be all around. Let the binding echo the B&W. Just my two cents!
I vote for the second one!
If it was my quilt, I wouldn't put on a border - I would use the black and white fabric as the binding. I feel that too much black and white overpowers the coloured blocks.
Hi Wanda,
The first one is pleasing to my eye, especially when viewed larger.
The second one is more artsy, but doesn't improve the quilt top.
Thanks for letting us blab about your quilt tops.

I love the first one too. I'd be tempted to use the extra blocks and make a really special backing using those blocks and some more of the black and white prints -- then you could have a reversible quilt! :-)
Wanda,
I agree that I like both of them. The second one is quite artsy if that's the look you are going for while the first one looks nice as well. I guess it all comes down to what it always comes down to...which one do YOU like best!
Oh Wow! That 2nd one knocks my socks off! Unusual and striking and rather artsy. Very cool - that has to be my choice!
I find the first more pleasing. I find the 2nd too busy...you lose the original blocks. Just my thought. I like the suggestion of using the spare blocks on the back.
