Now that I have my 2 finishes for the month I can sit back and do nothing for the rest of the month.... wait...I don't know how to do that. I need to be busy.
I made the quilt top in November 2023 so this one didn't wait too long to be quilted (by longarm friend Robin). I did the binding all by machine which speeded up the finish.
Looking back at previous posts when I was making the top, there are at least 77 different Kaffe collective fabric in it, and 2 squares of most of the prints. It has Hobbs 80/20 batting in it and it is 66" x 84.5". The backing and binding are also Kaffe fabrics.
Yesterday was my pacemaker check up. I only have a few months left in the battery so I'll be getting a replacement in a couple months.

I love how this quilt came together--it is really striking!!:)))
77.2 here at 7 a.m.!! Yuck--and humid....I will hop into my AC car and then into the AC grocery store and quick back to my AC home...hoping the power grid lasts during this heat wave...
We do expect rainstorms today--so I hope they may cool us off a bit...
Stay cool as you can...
Hugs, Julierose
glad you have a warning on you battery so you know when it needs to be replaced.
This is gorgeous, Wanda! I'm relieved they are monitoring your pacemaker's status so closely.
Yeah on another finish! You found a way to elevate a simple design into something special! The month is just half over so it will be fun to see what you make to finish out the month.
What a glorious quilt! SO grateful for pacemakers like yours and the doctors/technology that supports them.
That insert strip makes this so special!
All we had from the Monday night storm was rain. And lots of it -- but no tornados. Nice to have cooler temps.
You're keeping the pace . . . maker. LOL.
I agree with Nann about the insert strip you did. Simple and effective highlight to these gorgeous fabrics. Honestly don’t think anyone else could have made this wonderful quilt! -Roxanne
I too agree it’s the inserts that make this such an awesome quilt with the immediate WOW factor. You continue to live up to and create with “Exuberance”.
New Pace Maker battery… I can only imagine what that procedure involves. You have a good Dr. to keep you monitored as he has.

When "seeing red" is a wonderful thing! Congrats on meeting your goal for the month with plenty of time to spare.
What a glorious quilt and it is surely exuberant! Well done, Wanda!
Nice to have your pacemaker checkup give you time to plan for the upcoming battery replacement.
Hugs!
The neutral inserts really liven the quilt and I like that you used lots of different fabrics for the inserts. And I laughed when you said you were done for the month. Good luck with the pacemaker replacement.

Simple but really effective with that narrow border.
I love this one so much. Red is always a winner, and so are Kaffe and Philip! The thin neutral border just makes it.
