Playing with birds......................

I really didn't accomplish much yesterday.  Mostly I looked through the Charley Harper bird fabric and decided which size some of them will be cut.  I'm not sure if I'll use the stylized print on the top left.

Some of the prints are spread out and might need to be 8.5" squares.

Maybe I'll get some more cutting done today.

I'm still working on the hand stitching on a binding too.

I will be interested to see how you set these bird print blocks....
74.1 degrees with 73.8 DP and raining here...resting my hands for a couple days after quite a bit of hand working...hugs, Julierose

I've liked the way you've incorporated Charley Harper prints in the past. It will be fun to see what you come up with.

Curiosity got the best of me and I ‘Googled’ Charlie Harper… and so enjoyed his art work and everything about him. It stated, Edie and Brett included. I’m going to check the web site out again and learn more. Every piece you have of his has been so unique. And I think he would be elated as to how you use his prints in your creations.

Love the fabrics - except for the upper left one in the first photo. Perhaps it's the dark brown background that makes it not fit in with the others.

On hot days, hand stitching and playing with fabric are perfect!

Hugs!

Charley Harper's birds are so magical yet have engaging personalities. You have a lovely collection to work from.

I had never heard of Charley Harper fabrics before I saw them on your blog, I love the top right hand one. I've missed reading blogs for too many days so will comment on all here. One quilt I missed was Churn Dash, I've never made one of these but the Kaffe fabrics show beautifully, good luck with binding decision.
Batiks destash - what a difference in the amount left on the shelf. Congratulation on your 17th blog anniversary!! I've enjoyed seeing your hydrangea and day lillies, mine are all ready for cutting back - all finished.
