Pressing.............

I pressed all of the squares that were already sewn and intended to sew blocks last night.  My daughter-in-law decided to cook some corned beef that was in her freezer and invited all of the family over for the meal.  My 2 little great-grandsons were the center of attention of course.  We went outside after eating and the weather was perfect and no mosquitoes.  Their lot backs up to a farm field so I don't know if that has anything to do with the lack of the little pests.  Today I intend to sew some blocks and cut some spacer pieces.  I'm still not sure if this is a quilt or a table runner.  Time will tell.

So nice that you could get together with them all; we've been really bothered with mosquitos here too lately.
A lovely 59 degrees early this morning...
We are totally exhausted after this hospital/surgery event. Tom is home but really sore and tired....I will be MIA for a while yet--watching him carefully for an stroke symptoms......
Your 1/2 sq triangles are looking good....
Hugs, Julierose

Those unexpected gatherings are the best, aren’t they? And the beautiful weather with no mosquitoes, bonus!

Unexpected get togethers are good, especially at someone else's house, with good food. I try to be back inside by 4:00pm, so I'm not sure about the mosquito situation here. But the flies & gnats are holding their own during the day. The Japanese beetles are not as numerous as a few years ago, I chalk that up to the past couple of very dry years. The crop duster airplanes have been active for almost 2 weeks now. What's concerning to me is the lack of pollinators on my zinnias and coneflowers. Mostly little flies & tiny wasps, and those are not numerous, very few butterflies, and NO honeybees. I'm hoping when the sedum blooms (seems awfully early for them to be budding out already!) the bees return.

I'm looking forward to seeing what those HSTs tell you what they want to be.

nice to join the family for a meal and get out of the house for a little bit. Sometimes a table runner is what is needed for the pieces and not a whole new quilt.

How delightful to join in a family dinner whith small kid entertainment!
I enjoy having seasonal and holiday wall quilts more than table runners but that's just me. Have fun making whatever the HSTs want you to make.

Hugs!

Nice blocks. Either a table runner or quilt will look fabulous.
