Choosing fabric for pinwheels.................

I re-read the section on colors used in the Fonthill quilt in "Passionate Patchwork" and decided to add more of the moss greens.  I have a few already in pinwheels but this will help with variety.  Then I searched for more light fabrics in gold and peach tones.  Also I added in a few more of the rust/orange and a couple pale periwinkle blues.  I didn't get any triangles cut....I am just wiped out.  Two window A/C units in the center of the house make that area too cold and the far reaching areas to each side of that are barely cooled.  One more day of this and then low 80s over the weekend.

I did get a few pinwheels sewn in the morning before the sun beats on that side of the house.  I just need to get going early this morning too and avoid the studio when it is too hot.

the heat is bad all over the country for sure = do you have a couple fans that you can stand on the floor in front of where the air is so cool and have the fans push it further out to cool more area?
I love all the batiks they are going to look great in this quilt

Loving the newest color additions. Expected high of 97 here with heat index of 106. So many around the country are suffering this heat.

78 degrees and 75 DP right now at just 9 a.m.!! The air quality is not so good either...we are in the yellow to orange today...
Take care and stay cool hugs, Julierose

Really like the new moss greens, gold and peach tones you have selected. Fonthill looked so great before and never thought of any more to add . . . Until I saw your new selections this morning.

Love, love, love these greens. And the peaches to go with are gorgeous. In Oklahoma, we are in the triple digests, 100 or more.

Today will be our hottest day, predicted 102. It’s been a funny week of working around this weather/air quality. Will appreciate returning to something more friendly. Great new fabrics! -Roxanne
