The top took a lot longer to sew together than I thought it would. I'll get it pressed today and take its photo.
I spent the morning yesterday in the garage flattening cardboard boxes that had accumulated all winter. It was 78 degrees yesterday, the first day the garage warmed up. Today is supposed to be warmer.
The front flower bed was the next project of the day. It doesn't look like too much right now but it is coming to life.
The Hostas are coming up. Each plant has its unique growth.
This one has curly leaves and is variegated. I think I stepped on it a few times while I was raking leaves.
This one is many, many little parts peeking out of the ground. I like to have the hostas growth recorded on my blog so I can go back and check the previous year or two and see if they started growing at the same time.
This Coral Bell stayed green all winter. It had a lot of maple leaves around it protecting it.
The Sedums are growing fast now that I have all of the old flower stalks removed and leaves raked away.
The day finished with a beautiful red sunset.

it is always so nice when things start to warm up - you had it warmer than we did only 73 yesterday 78 today and tomorrow - will feel nice out on the porch
That quilt top is so pretty! The plants are coming along and with the warm temperatures they will be growing like crazy! I figured out what my problem was and now I can open your blog again - whew!

Here we are at the point that it is time to start watching for sales on plants. Several of our perennials failed to survive this past winter's deeper freezes meaning we have the opportunity to re-think how we plant certain areas (more and more we are moving to large pots instead of in ground - backs, knees, hips, etc.). From the little we've seen, annuals are considerably higher in price this year (boo).
Haven't we had splendid weather this week? (Front will come through on Friday, though.)
Spring has sprung in your gardens for sure, and I agree a sunset to take your breath away.

You are such an inspiration. I'm amazed at how much you get done every day. Although easy enough, those thin strips do take some time to sew.
I still need to rake out the leaves and attack the rampant ivy. Sigh!

That is a spectacular sunset! It always amazes me how cool the garage stays all year.
I should love to have hostas in our garden but fear the slugs and snails would fest on them! Stunning sunset.
