12 blocks............

I know this doesn't look much different than the last time but I have moved the duplicate block that was too close to its match and I have sewn 4 small blocks to make one larger block times 12 to make it easier to press the seams.

The rest of the day was spent doing laundry and basting my colorwash.

Inside garden news:

Here is an update on my Amaryllis.  There is a second bud which is just starting to grow.  I thought it was only a leaf when it first appeared.

Most of my cacti are done blooming except the red one.  I sure hope one of them is going to get ready to bloom for Christmas.  I have never had as many early blooms as I had this year.

My cactus all bloomed early and are done. I am hoping one sneaks a few blooms out for Christmas. The quilt is looking great!

The amaryllis has grown! Getting all the 4 block units sewn together was great! Assembling the rest of the top will be quick once you decide the final design.

It's always heartening to see an amaryllis bud out--and get a peek at the final color, isn't it?
Your quilt looks really pretty...
It is only 31 degrees here this morning--crispy underfoot!!:000

No amaryllis here this year. The bulbs from last year didn't re-grow and I haven't seen any in the stores that I would bring home (poorly packaged, waxed which I don't care for, or over priced). I will enjoy watching yours and Lynne's.

Loving those blocks! Things definitely seem to be blooming early this year. Think it was our early cold spell.

I love all of your quilts but if I had to pick a top 5 or 10 this one would be on the list for sure. I'm glad you are keeping it for yourself!

My amaryllis didn't survive unfortunately so I shall look forward to seeing the blooms on yours! I can't have enough shots of this series you're making, choice of fabric is stunning.
