Small finish......................

The binding was finished last night on this batik table runner.  It is 14.5" x 38".

I considered the purchase of the backing fabric a mistake, but it was perfect for this table runner.

Just in case you wanted to see the front and back together, I took that photo too.

Even though radar showed us in a rain storm, all we got was a few drops, more like a mist.  I stepped outside to take a few photos.  The Annabelle blooms are growing and they are still lime green at this stage.

The pansies loved the rain from the day before.  We got another 1/2" so we have had 1" in the last 5 days.  After less than 2" the whole month of May, I'm hoping June will be more normal.

The smaller pansy pot has a majority of purple with a few yellow and purple thrown in.

This is the view looking north.  The 2 Redbud trees are mine and that is the neighbor's cars in their driveway.

No, I don't have a kitty.  This is the neighbor's cat and he makes sure the chipmunks know he is watching. Actually I am surprised none of them have started digging in my pansy pots.

I’m interested in knowing why you consider the backing fabric a mistake…I learn so much from you! Love that you have a neighbor cat that likes your porch and is perhaps the reason the wildlife have stayed out of your flower pots.

Wow that backing is perfect! Love the kitty on your porch, maybe that's why the chipmunks are staying away from those beautiful pots. That is such a pretty view of your front space.

Having a guard kitty can be a good thing! I have to think long and hard before taking on a project that has as many points to join as this one.

The table runner is so pretty! Do you have a lot of that backing left? It was perfect for the runner. Your pansys are beautiful! It is good the cat is keeping the chipmunks away from your pots. We have gotten a lot of rain. It has been long bouts of good soaking rain. My backyard is too soggy to mow. It is suppose to be sunny Tuesday - Thursday, but rain today and Friday.

Given how much I like lime green, that photo of your hydrangea makes my heart happy. That and the guard kitty.

What a fun post today Wanda from your table runner ending with neighbors cat waiting on your front porch. He no doubt knows there's chipmunks in the area.

I used to have neighborhood cats sunning themselves in the yard. I never mind it when I see them as they keep the field mice down but I rarely see them anymore. I don't want to get any and have to feed them lol. All of your plants are looking so good.

There are wandering cats here, too....and raccoons. The runner turned out really nicely, and the backing is just right.

No mistake with that backing fabric. Gorgeous,I love it. Your pansy pots are fabulous. Lots of beautiful color. We are getting the rain here in southern Oklahoma. In fact, way to much this year.

I do love it when happy purchases turn out to be just perfect, and this one is! Our neighbor's cat thinks he owns us. He shows up at random times of the day and night and screams at us until we feed him. He is old, looks like he's been in a few fights too many. And I have to admit I am a sucker for him.
