More of the same.................

Are you tired of seeing this binding?  Me too.  I didn't spend much time on it yesterday but did get a little over half of one long side stitched.  That leaves half of a long side and a short side left to stitch.

I checked the rain gauge yesterday morning and it had .6" in it.  Not enough for our suffering lawns.  Now we are in for a week of mid to high 90s, cooling off to mid 80s, all starting tomorrow.  Also very high humidity will accompany it.

Meanwhile the basted, next in line to be quilted is laying on the sewing table.  It will be a good project during the heat wave.

I saw one Ox-eye false sunflower blooming yesterday and didn't have my camera with me.  I forgot to go back out with it later.  Maybe I'll take some nature photos today.

The close up picture shows what a great choice you made for the green binding. I sew down my binding the same way you do, right to left with the binding facing you.

I had to Google that😄 there's a lake here where the cahaba lilies bloom & these flowers along side the nature trail, I've always thought they were wild sunflowers lol the quilt is looking great & so close to a finish! yeah!

I don't get tired of that binding, but then I'm not sewing on it - lol! Our rain is going to be absent for the next 10 days at least, so the water bill will be sky high next month.

It's a shame your weather outlook isn't more promising. I hope the heat wave is short lived.

The short answer to your (rhetorical) question is: no! But I know you'll be happy to get it finished. A question: do you label your quilts as you finish them, or have a labeling session, or not unless you have to?

I open your blog every morning, whether I leave a comment or not I enjoy seeing what you accomplish and what you are working on every day, And always surprised at all the comments already sent in so early in the morning. We’re an hour behind your time zone… and yet I see the first comment came in at 5:32 a.m. !

The cool thing about a heat wave is that it's great sewing weather!
