The last March finish.................

I finished hand sewing the binding on this neutral color batik 16 patch quilt around 9 p.m. last night but didn't want to go to the basement to take the photos so I hung it on my main floor studio design wall for these photos.  This one ended up at 54.5" x 71".

I was so happy to find a large enough piece of batik (that looks good with the top) in my backings box.  I only buy that large of yardage when it is deeply discounted.

This quilt has Hobbs 80/20 batting in it and was longarm quilted by Robin Diaz.

It was in the 40s yesterday so it was a good day to stay inside.  I had a wonderful visit with 2 cousins (daughters of 2 first cousins).  I want to be sure family members have my quilts so they went home with some.

I'll work on my monthly recap post today and I'm thinking about doing a quarterly recap post also.

Couldn’t have asked for a better backing choice, I love when that happens :-). What lucky cousins to be able to visit and leave with Wanda quilts.

Beautiful quilt! How wonderful you had visitors and how lucky they are to take home a quilt! It got chilly here yesterday and the overnight temps were down in the low 30's. The temperatures are fluctuating a lot over the next 10 days. Right now it is forecasted to be 66 on Wednesday, but snow for next Monday! Crazy!

Spitting rain out there here and 41 degrees--just enough to keep our appointment to have lawn guy come and dig up our garden, right??? S I G H !!
I got my new ironing board yesterday--(had to return TWO as they were so wobbly!!) and will be ironing Tom's shirts and my Christmas Ojos..I love ironing actually so fun for me...;))
Looking forward to your recap...

A quarterly repost is a marvelous idea. We would get a chance to see the quilts again. Such inspiration.

A backing and binding both so handsome with your spectacular front. This one has a such a lovely ambiance to it.

I know that happy feeling to be gifted with a Quilt from Wanda. It’s one your cousins will treasure forever, every time they see and use it. And the feelings you have gifting is your ‘pay’ for each one that leaves your studios.

Your visitors would have made the trip home very happy indeed!! It's important, I feel, that our quilts go to loved ones.
As I've been a few days without reading posts ('flu and covid vaccination both together in one shoulder) I'm trying to catch up. I always enjoy seeing photos of your garden plants and your visitors - your furry ones!!! Good to see your Tilda op all finished and that you posted a number of close-ups of the individual fabrics, she does produce some very nice ranges.
