I had 2 sessions of ditch quilting around the light centers of some of the blocks in the Crooked Cobblestone quilt. I have one more day on light centers and then can choose a different color to do.
I have 2 quilts to bind and this one was already trimmed so I started with it. In this photo have attached the binding by machine.
There are 3 fabric strips on the back of the quilt. The one on the right was full width and the other 2 were cutaways from previous backs. I have started the hand sewing on the binding and have part of a short side finished.
It was a chilly day yesterday so I was inside all day. I need to go outside today and see what else is growing.

Those greens! So pretty. I'm glad you don't ask us to pick favorites, because I love everything you show!
Never get tired of seeing all those wonderful fabric colors! Still mighty brown outside here.
I just love those crooked cobblestones blocks!! And the greens are so rich looking;)))
46 here with a brisk NW wind --still feels cold out there...
Hoping to finish cutting strip sets for Box blocks...hugs, Julierose
Are you able to listen to television or an audio book while you do this tedious stitching?
“Quilting and binding” for your Friday and it was fun to see your photo’s along the way. I tell all my friends about how much you accomplish every day and they don’t believe me. Most of my friends don’t know how to thread a needle and have no idea how to get to your blog to see your work. But they do have smart phones that they seem to play with all day and are always have them with them . I’m still using my ‘flip’ phone for emergency use only, when I leave the house.
That binding is absolutely wonderful! We were in the 80s yesterday ahead of the latest thunderstorms. Today in the upper 60s-lower 70s with RAIN. All of the lightning we've had has supercharged the rainwater with nitrogen so things are greening up quickly right now.
Love the Crooked Cornerstones quilt and its colors, fabrics and also love the greens, other colors, and perfect binding on the quilt in the 2nd photo and its backing will be a delight, too. Well chosen!!
We had rain overnight and today's high will be 86*F. More rain Sunday night and Monday with highs back down in the 50s*F. Ah, spring!
Hugs!
I really need to make myself get some applique done today on my quilt to have some progress - I hate so many rainy days in a row it puts me off my game so to speak. Maybe I will finally be able to walk around outside tomorrow - just to much rain now. I like the binding you are working on
So pretty! I love those greens and the batiks are always so much fun to sew. We are having a thundery, rainy day here, so inside for me!
That binding fabric is snazzy!
