The binding is finished on the batik quilt and I'll take photos today. This is the time of year when the sunshine coming in the windows warms up the house and the heat doesn't come on. That makes the basement quite chilly. Since we are still going down in the 30s at night, the heat will come on in the morning and that's when I'll go down there to take the photos.
The two Tilda quilts are back from the longarmer and I have chosen the binding for both of them.
This is the last Sedum waiting for clean up. I was surprised how much it is growing with all of the leaves still packed around and on top of it. This weekend is supposed to be in the 60s so I need to get out there and get it done. I need to rake this whole front flower bed.

Tilda fabrics for binding look perfect;)))
36 here this morning, raining, and very windy...

planting spot survives this cold weather...
hugs for a good weekend Julierose
Your Tilda quilts came together so quickly, and quilted already! Yes, the basement is chilly on days like these. Enjoy the sunshine today.
I look forward to your batik quilt photos. I thought about you when I was in my garden yesterday, wishing I had some of your cooler weather. Ours warms up very quickly, and it will be in the 80s for the next 2 days. It just seems wrong to have the AC on in April!
What a treat it will be to see the finished batik quilt and its perfect binding.
Love the polka-dot bindings for the Tilda quilts. Remember bindings used to be mostly solid colors?
Our flower beds need cleaning out, too, but neither of us has the energy.
Hugs!
I imagine the basement is quite chilly at this time of year when the heat doesn't come on or not very often. I always like it when I can open windows - I do have to go around wiping up pollen off of tables but it isn't as thick this year as it is sometimes when the windows have to stay shut because of it. The binding on the quilt came along great.
That's a fast turn around serive from your longarmer. You should get a portable heater to use in the basement on those days when the heat doesn't turn on. I haven't checked on my sedum yet. Most years the bunnies start nibbling on the new growth before I can spray repellent on them. I'm going to dig them up and give them away, since between the deer and the rabbits, I don't usually get many blooms any more.
