While the washing machine was running I looked through some embroideries I have done in the past for these 2 pieces. I want to do another quilt with this style block. The one on the left was a sample block for a quilt I made for the store I was working at. On the final quilt I used butterfly embroideries instead of flowers.
Here is a portion of it at the fair booth for the store I used to work at. The green checked fabric is a flannel and I want to do another one with flannel.
This is the store sample I made with the hummingbird embroideries (block on the right in 2nd photo above). I think I mistakenly made the same block twice so it was a leftover. This quilt is the same idea as the green one with 4 patches and embroidery.
Here are some of the embroideries I found while looking for those 2 blocks.
The only machine embroidery I have done in the last few years is the redwork blocks for 2 quilts and Christmas stockings for my great-grandchildren.
I did some more binding on the batik quilt last night. I have about 17" left to do on a long side so I'm almost half way done.
Prediction for possible snow flurries around noon. I think some areas in the south have had more snow than we had this past winter.

Our prediction includes snow flurries as well. Some of your embroidery orphans are complex looking. I’ve never been attracted to machine embroidery but it sure seems to be having a resurgence.
Those are beautiful embroideries. I tried my hand at that for about two minutes then sold my machine - lol!
Lovely embroidered blocks, Wanda--they will make a nice quilt.
Only 39 here this raining (again!!) morning. Lovely afternoon visit
yesterday with my daughter and her beau --I will be sewing the last of the box=ey square blocks today...hugs, Julierose
I've never tried that kind of machine embroidery. How nice that you can use the lovely birds in a quilt. Yep, another day to bundle up.
Did you embroidery the birds and the mailbox? Gorgeous!
hugs
Donna
The embroidery project will be an interesting change of pace for you.
The rainbow zebra is so cute! Those odds and ends embroideries would look nice as a panel for a tote bag or project bag.
I never got into machine embroidery - I did make several items with a friends machine back in the late 90's but that was it, never got interested enough to get a machine. I made a few baby items back then.
Machine embroidery is lovely but it is something I've never gotten into. I did had embroidery as a child/young adult under the guidance of my mother and paternal grandmother. Your quilt tops with the embroideries are lovely!
Love, love, love your embroideries ❣️ I was so excited to see them and they surely inspired me to turn my machine on and make one. Each block you stitched is so perfectly detailed, colorful and fun. Plus your humming bird quilt is fascinating and truly elegant with the flower border. I agree I hope you do create another quilt using those blocks.
What beautiful and colorful embroideries you made and delightfully varied in design, too. They will certainly make more lovely quilts! Your stash contains wonderful treasures to be found!
Well done in being almost finished with that binding.
Our area has 26 hours of rain in the forecast - from midnight last night until 2am tonight. We may slide southward into North Carolina since they're just below us, globally speaking. Wink, wink!
Hugs!
