Since I hadn't finished any small projects in April, I decided to finish one table topper. Last night I got this one ditch quilted. I have another one like this with some of the same fabrics that I will probably finish in May. To the left of this piece is 2 choices for binding. They look a little darker in real life.
I'm using the same backing on both pieces. I think gray is a good choice for the binding and looks good with both sides. I like the stripe but I'm leaning toward the cheetah print for the binding.
I was checking my front garden and saw that my red Coneflower with the fluffy center is starting to grow. I hadn't seen any sign of green and thought it had died over the winter. I hope it continues to grow. I had another of these about 3 years ago and it started growing but then died. I am thankful for any plants that survive the winter.

That cheetah print looks good with both sides of this cute topper, I think, too...

I noticed my coneflowers are coming up. I just have the ordinary ones, but the butterflies like them. We got a rainstorm late afternoon and it threw down quite a bit of rain so the plants have to love that! I need to get out and do some weeding!
Nice to be able to pull out two such good choices for binding. Either would work beatifully.
I like that cheetah print! It's always gratifying to see something that survived the winter, isn't it.
The cheetah print will be great. I don't have any coneflowers flowered yet but I do have some big buds so they are coming soon.
