Plaid-ish mock-up.............

I cut enough pieces to make a mock-up of all three blocks that are in the Plaid-ish quilt.  The medium value blocks are in both vertical and horizontal positions.  Red/pink/orange is my medium color for my version of the quilt and I needed to be sure there was enough contrast between the dark and medium fabrics.  I think it is going to work so now I have a lot more cutting to do.

I only got 2 blocks sewn of the flannel triangles.  I baked one batch of cookies and mixed the dough for another batch that needed to be refrigerated.

We are expecting the coldest temperature of the season early this morning and then a warm up will start.  We will be above freezing for 3 days.

Both projects are looking fabulous, Wanda;))) I love the "Plaidish" scrappy colors working so well together...
20 here and pretty cold out there. At least no big winds as yet--but they say we are in for high winds later on today...;(((
I am still thinking my way through "Dark Days" and trying to find the best way to express how I am feeling with fabrics I've pulled..
.My first thing is to try out dark maroon strips top and bottom...perhaps with some bias vining? Too many ideas right now...
Hugs, Julierose

the "plaidish" quilt looks like it is going to work in my opinion - it looks great. Stay warm! Sunday-Tuesday will be our days here to mainly stay inside and stay warm.

You are making progress on both projects. It is to get above freezing only Friday and Saturday then back into the deep freeze. Near zero or below next week. Burr!

I love that you are making that Plaidish design YOUR way using your much-loved KF fabrics - it is going to be a stunner!

I’ve seen the Plaidish quilts and seeing yours makes me really want to make one. Yours is going to be a delight to the eye with all the Kaffe’s. It’s been quite a long period of cold 🥶 for you. Glad to hear it will be getting above freezing shortly.

What kind of cookies? The Plaidish is wonderful in the bold prints. HSTs are cozy -- and cozy is a good term today. Warming tomorrow. But forecast is for colder yet at the beginning of next week.

Working in your studios and kitchen was a great day for sure. Especially the cookie baking ~ thats needed on these cold wintery days.

Plaidish is going to be a wonderful happy quilt and those HSTs will make the coziest of quilts.
Keep warm! Our next Arctic Blast arrives early next week. Hope our ice melts before then.

Hugs!
