A quilt top!...............

The flannel quilt top is finished!  It has been hard to get a good photo of this quilt.  It is a little more rust toned than it looks here.  The contrast between the light and dark is also softer.  If you go back to this post you can see the original quilt I planned this layout for.

I took some close up shots to better show the colors and patterns in the fabrics.

The colors in this photo are truer than the photo of the whole quilt top.

This photo is also truer color but the contrast if off.  The light colors are darker than they look here.

I also made 5 more medium value blocks for the Plaid-ish quilt.

For the last 2 weeks I have been taking the photos for my blog with my cellphone and it has been difficult to get the color and contrast correct.  Mainly that is because the photos on my phone are very bright and I do the amount of editing that I think will work.  I then email the photos to myself and bring them into my photo editing program so I can resize them and send them to a folder in my computer.  From there I select them for my blog post and hope that the color will look correct.

All of this is because with the latest updates of Windows 11, the computers no longer recognize my Canon camera via the cable.  I do have a Windows 10 very slow computer in the basement that I can transfer photos to and I may go back to doing that.

Love the quilt tops! Upload a program called CCleaner and clean the registry. I've used it for years...love it. The registry is the brain of your computer. Need to keep it clean. I bought the Pro but I used the free one, for years.

Your layout looks grand, love the plaids and colors. I like the quilt you linked to also. I know what you mean about colors on the phone photos, never come out as they should.

That was a quick make on this flannel lovely!! I'll bet it is really soft to the feel ;)))) Lovely flimsy, Wanda. And Plaidish is coming together really well...
35 here this morning; we are in "waiting mode" for the coming snowfall--hard to believe the temps will be in the single digits tomorrow!!
I hate when they stop supporting older versions on computers...that is a whole lot of rigamarole to go through to post pictures on your blog! Kudos to you for doing this for us all...Hugs, Julierose

Love this ‘copy cat’ quilt top … it has all MY favorite colors in it. And Plaidish is one amazing creation for sure. Great post for a Sunday morning to study.

The flannel quilt top and the growing Plaidish are both delightful and are a tribute to your amazing creativity!
We've never uses Windows as our younger son prefers Linux which is free and open source and he has put Linux on our computers for decades. We are delighted that Bill Gates hasn't gotten a penny from us! Wish the same could be said about Jeff Bezos. Sigh!

Oh, that flannel top just looks so cozy! I forgot about the Plaid--ish quilt. I finished a r/w/b for QOV back in 2020. I might just have to dig out the pattern and make one with my rose themed fabrics. I still have a slow windows 10 laptop so my Pentax camera still loads photos via cable thank goodness. I rarely use my phone and don't think I want to do a lot of screwing around just to take photos for blogging but sooner or later I do need to get a new laptop because this one has started doing some strange things.

I'm having a great time watching your plaidish blocks come together. You're making me think I might need to dig in and start one one soon!

Both quilts made me smile. I just took a flannel one off the longarm and am binding it. It took way too long to get it to this point. It has batik flannel which someone gave me, never able to find anymore.

The baby quilt is nice and I think tat neutrals are very popular right now so that one should be snapped up soon.
