December 2024 monthly recap................

There were 3 finishes and no new quilt tops, and that is great.  I do have blocks ready to make into a top for next month.

The neutral color batik 16 patch is 71" x 93", the last of my big quilts to be quilted.  I still have a smaller top made from the same group of blocks that will be quilted this year.

The pink/blue triangle quilt is 47" x 59" and I'll put it with the stack of baby quilts. Kaffe Fassett and Tula Pink fabrics.

The last one reminds me of rows of fences.  It is 39" x 59" and will also go into the stack of baby quilts.

Tomorrow's post will be my yearly recap.

2024 ended with my son-in-law's mother (97) passing on Sunday the 29th and my older brother (85) passing yesterday.

Happy New Year and hopes for good health for everyone!

Mt sympathy to you in the loss of your brother and to your SIL in the loss of his mother. There is never a good time to lose beloved people (and pets) but at Christmastime, it seems more of a heartbreak.
Glorious quilts, as always and it is no surprise you have blocks at the ready for a January quilt.

Big hugs!

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother and your son's MIL.

The neutral batik quilt is wonderful as well as the other two you finished in December. Another great month!

Wanda, I understand the loss of a brother. Mine passed a few years ago. The thing about their passing different than anyone else's is they have been there your entire life. They have been there thru childhood, adulthood, and older age. You have some of the same memories. Good and bad. So, be easy on yourself. It will take time to come to terms without him. God bless.
