A little help and future project.............

I had some help yesterday going through my quilts and dividing them up into keep, share/gift and sell.  It was quite a workout.

I downloaded the free Plaid-ish Quilt pattern from the Kitchen Table Quilting site a couple years ago and I have decided to use some of the large Kaffe scraps to make it since the bin is overflowing.  This will be a slow cutting project and sewing probably won't start until late this month or early February.

First I have to divide the scraps into light, medium, and dark.  That alone will probably take a few hours.

By the way, what day is it?  I was just recovering from the first Wednesday holiday when the second one came sailing by.  I think I thought it was Thursday for a couple days in a row.  Luckily my Fitbit tells me what day it is as well as the number date.  I've had to check it many times.  Will Monday really feel like Monday?

I have to remind myself every morning what day it is! Since we are close to the same age, I want to ask if you have arthritis that affects your cutting. I am starting to struggle.

We've been so confused as to the days here ourselves, too!! We need a "day clock"!!
26 this morning and windy again...
Nice job sorting your KF fabrics...;))) it's always fun for me to sort and really see (and remember) all the fabrics I have on hand...I've been mostly using scraps and so the "stash" has become the "unknown land"!!

I love Plaidish from Erica. I cut a kit to bring to my next retreat. It is a very well written pattern and it's easy to cut the pieces. The hardest part is to stop cutting more fabric for it as I keep seeing prints that would look nice in this one. Haha. Enjoy! ;^)

The plaidish quilt will look stunning with KF fabrics. I just downloaded the pattern - I hope to get to try it this year.
Stay warm!

I know you’re going to make your Kaffe Plaidish quilt into a stunner, and I can’t wait to see you work on it! Don’t ask me what day it is - I’m as confuzzled as the next person! This last month, between the Holidays and the weather (day after day after of gray/rain/snow) makes me think every day is DecJanuday. Is it spring yet?

Your overflowing container of Kaffe fabrics looks so intriguing. Gives me a desire to dive right into it. And how I enjoyed hearing about “what day is this” you described it like so many of us that felt the same way 🤭

I observed the day confusion, too. But I got into a relaxed no-meetings mode. The filling-up calendar for the week/month is a jolt!

I hear you about what day it is! We flew out to CA to our cabin on Thursday and I have kept what day it is since, lol. It will be fun to see your Plaidish Kaffe quilt develop. Do you think it will use up most of the fabric in the bin? It seems my projects never use as much as I think they will.

I can't wait to see the plaidish top come together in the Kaffe fabrics. I was off work for 13 days and I have a few days that I kept thinking "What day is this?" Since the 1st it was a different count - how many days until I have to go back to work.
