I'm getting a slow start to my projects in this new year. I had to do some catch-up, grocery shopping and laundry.
I'm looking for the dies that will cut some of the pieces of the Plaid-ish quilt. One of them is a 5" square. I'll get some fabrics pressed today and start cutting. Some of the shapes will have to be rotary cut. My right shoulder has been bothering me so I won't be doing a lot of cutting any one day.
I did some reorganizing of computer folders too and I enjoy doing that.
Last night I got a few rows knit on a dishcloth. There will be some good TV tonight, new shows, so I need to get to the sewing stage on something. It may be just creating parts to use later rather than any one project. I'm really not very organized yet this new year. I worked so hard last year getting a lot of my older quilt tops quilted. I'm down to 27 tops now and they are mostly small ones.

I looked at some "vintage" bright fabric on Etsy yesterday and thought of you and your quilts. I really need to finish a couple of family quilts so I can "play" - lol!
Re-organizing seems to be the 2025 thing right now!!:)))
Only 16 here this morning with wind chill of 6-10 degrees...I am going out to do grocery shopping--I will be a "Nanook of the North"
for sure all bundled up...hugs, Julierose
You are just getting warmed up for the month! Sometimes spending time fiddling around gets the juices flowing. Being down to 27 tops is amazing with as many as you had and with all you have made. I did a lot of stocking up of groceries in December so I should be good for a while with most basic stuff, but I will have to make a trip today to pick up a couple things I ran out of. The grocery store is only about 10 minutes from work so I can go on my lunch hour and get what I need.
I like the Plaidish quilt a lot and have seen quite a few. Really looking forward to your KF version!
This will be a fun one!! Arghhh the dreaded grocery shopping...
that is good to have the amount of quilt tops less this year than last! you are gradually working through all of them. Cold here - snow expected by Thursday, I need to make a grocery store run
I agree you had a terrific year of completing quilts for 2024. You deserve and need to catch your breath after that. Take it easy in 2025 …
Taking time to contemplate, ponder, review previous plans, play in the stash is VITAL for our creative spirits. Good for you for taking it slowly. Sorry about that shoulder - I am not rotary cutting much at this point either ( a few minutes here or there but nothing more than a few).
You're wise to take it easy on your shoulder. Rotary cutting can be subtly aggravating. Love all those bright prints. Pace yourself for 2025!
I have wanted to make that pattern for years, but I find it so daunting. I will definitely be following along with you with interest!
