All of the sewn blocks have been pressed and are on the design wall. There are lots of the medium value blocks so I need to do lots more cutting. There are 2 more rows in length to be added and I'm not even half way across the width. I have 8 of 20 dark blocks, 10 of 31 medium blocks, and 6 of 12 light blocks made. I have 4 dark, 2 medium, and 1 light block ready to sew. I don't know if this one will be sewn by the end of the month. The quilt will be 64" x 82" if I follow the Plaid-ish pattern. To make it smaller and still have the same layout it would only be 46" x 64".
Last night I started the hand sewing on the binding of the red Kaffe table runner. I'm not quite half done. I like how the muted stripe looks.
Yesterday started out at -10 and got up to 0 by mid-afternoon. Today is supposed to be 22 degrees at mid-day and above freezing on Saturday. I hope we are done with the sub zero weather for this winter.

Your Plaid-ish progress looks great. Love the striped binding on the Kaffe fabrics!
Your Kaffe Plaid-ish is gorgeous! I may have to make one, too!
Now the design is really showing with the blocks on your wall. It is really pretty and a masterful use of those prints!
Glad you showed the layout for Plaidish because I was questioning how the blocks were anywhere close to plaid. It's going to be stunning.
I would stop at the 46" x 64" size and call it a win for figuring out the design and making a stunning version of it without spending months working on it (unless the big quilt is what you really want).
the plaid is really looking good! sounds like you are aiming for a good size quilt it will look great
Oh, those exuberant colors! These are the kind of fabric pulls I most often think of when I think of you.
Plaidish is absolutely STUNNING ~ it’s going to be a ‘show stopper’ for sure. And your table runner is a treasure with such huge presentation of fabrics.
Plaidish is so lovely--funny how the lighter blocks appear smaller somehow, though i know they are not!!:)))
I really like that KF binding fabric on your table runner....
7 here this morning when i left for food shopping!! SO COLD!!
but just in and out of the car --so okay...still resting my hands for another couple days...hugs, Julierose
If the quilt doesn't have a destination then I'd stop with the smaller size . . . I can imagine you making a companion with the cool range. :) I will venture out shortly to go to the grocery store. In New Orleans they're calling it "sneaux"!
Plaidish is looking great and this photo is hinting at a kilt!
What a perfect binding for the table runner, too.
We should be a tad above freezing tomorrow (37*F) but had a dusting of snow last night, and a low of 11*F so walkways are frozen. Tonight's low is expected to be 9*F. Hope the kids in New Orleans and elsewhere in the South are enjoying an unheard of Snow Day and having fun!
Hugs!
I love your Plaidish quilt! I made a similar one with warm colors and it is one of my favorites. Such a clever pattern.
The plaid quilt is very inspiring. The colors are wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Your Plaidish makes me want to take another trip to Scotland! I have the pattern and am feeling motivated!!
I wasn't sure how all those busy prints were going to play together but, now that you have more blocks, it's looking awesome! I know to always trust your design sense.
