More flannel triangles.............

Last night's sewing yielded 58 flannel  2" finished triangle squares.  There is one more light fabric that I cut that didn't get used yet.  I think I need to check the flannel scrap bin one more time for light fabrics.  I probably will have to go to yardage before I'm done.  So now I have 54 + 58 squares sewn.

Every year I'm amazed at how fast the daylight each day is extended after the shortest day in December.  I'm going to have to reset the starting time for my little trees because they are coming on while it's still light outside.

Late yesterday afternoon I was walking past an east window and saw a golden glow on all of the trees a few blocks away.  I guess the sunlight was hitting the trees just right and it looked like fall instead of winter.

Then I went to a west window and the sky was pink and blue.  By the time I grabbed my camera the colors had intensified.  I usually can't capture the deep color but I got it this time.

Lovely sky photos, Wanda--the daylight is lengthening despite all the cold and windy weather we are having. No longer darkening at 4:30;)))
Those flannel squares are really building up for you to work with... I like the neutral colors...
22 here and I can hear the wind gusting against the house...
another cold day...
Stay warm, Hugs, Julierose

I somehow missed that those are flannel pieces - what a cozy quilt that one will be. Love the photos - winter photos really are my favorites. We are finally supposed to get snow today and tonight!

I like the pink sky and what pretty decorative trees you have in the house. The hst's sure are small!

That is a nice bunch of HSTs you got sewn together. The sky pictures are lovely. My brother sent me a picture of the glow behind his house and it wasn't the sun; it was of the Altadena fire in LA. Then another fire popped up in the Hollywood Hills which is 10 - 15 miles away. It sounds like that fire is under control as of last evening. The only good thing is that at least the LA River is between him and those two areas which could help serve as a fire break.

Love the fun flannel HSTs and I have the darker fabric in the right lower corner of your photo!
Lovely sunset pictures! It pays to look out the windows when it's too cold to go for a walk. We had snow Monday and it's not been enough above freezing to melt it yet. What a bother and COLD, too!

Hugs!
