I didn't use a flash but the overhead lights really made the paint shine. I tried some rubber stamping with Luminere paints awhile back. I hadn't done anything with them so I decided to do some cutting and see if I can get inspired. I used Cherrywood scrap bag pieces of fabric.
Yesterday was one of those days that just disappears and you feel like you didn't do anything. I had the grocery shopping in the morning, a Dr. appt. for my mother in the afternoon, and a little weeding in the garden. I split the hostas that I dug up last week and planted them in 4 pots. I like to just sit a pot of hosta in amongst other plants in various areas of my gardens and be able to move them if they get too much sun on the hottest days.

These are really gorgeous. And that leaf really shows off the shininess of the metallic paint in the photo.
Considering that you didn't feel like you had gotten a lot done, it sure sounds like you had a full day yesterday!
I have never seen those paints. They look wonderful on the Cherrywoods. Cherrywood fabric is just a fabulous hand dye.
Never thought of putting my hostas in a planter. That might work to keep the deer away. Move them up on the deck at night time.
Really pretty rubber stamping. I have never tried that. I once had a girl that worked for me. Then I ran into her a couple of years later. She told me that she had found her calling that "rubber stamping is my life". I've never forgot that particular declaration. I found it...interesting in a sort of pitiful way? Your post made me think of it again...and I wish that little girl well.
I am new to visiting your blog, and wanted to tell you how much I enjoy it. I do not have a blog myself--a little hesitant, well okay, a lot hesitant. I also am absolutely in love with batiks and drooled over your collection. I am currently stuck--I am not sure why because I do have a considerable amount to do. Here I am surrounded by beautiful fabric and cannot decide what to start or finish first. Has this ever happened to you?

Beautiful. Are they commercial stamps or did you make them? I want to try making stamps from erasers but need to get the right tool.

How do you juggle both quilting and gardening. Flowers only survive in spite of me, not because of me. Your plants are lucky to have you.
