I have decided on this purple print as my fixer. Ellen left a comment yesterday that said all of the prints I had tried so far read as a solid even though they were prints. I knew that but it took that prodding to make me dig deeper into the purple bin to find a busier print. Click on the pictures for a closer view of the the print. It is a little more purple in person where it shows up a little bluer on the computer screen.

Oh yes, love the purple!
Much much better, I really didn't like the orange but didn't want to say so
I love it, both of them. gives me more ideas -- which I don't need! I have plenty of them already.

This really works. It was just a matter of finding the right purple. You must have one amazing stash of fabric.
She was right! That fixed the problem and now it looks perfect.
Oh, YES! YES YES YES ~ love the purple...
(this was my first reaction upon seeing the photo - way before I read any of your post)
LOVE what you're doing!
I REALLY like that purple. Very nice addition. :-)
The purple is perfect!
i missed the whole series here, so i'm just here to admire the result. i'm working on practicing piecing circles...over and over and over. i'm getting much better with practice. i love the look of a pieced curve rather than applique (mostly because i'm not good at applique).
Wanda, Boy she was right, the pieces needed just a little more pattern. That seemed to do the trick. I like the way it looks. I can't believe that was all you had left from the strata, you were very efficient. I like the design that you have on the design wall for the die cuts. Very nice!
The purple works so well! And I am loving the new piece (last photo) that you said you'd have to lay out completely before sewing. I can see why!
They both look great!
Wanda... Yippee! It looks perfect! A little accent without upstaging the other fabrics. Good work! Can't wait to see the finished quilt, and glad to help in a very tiny way!
Now, the purple works!!!!! Love it, I knew you would find the perfect addition!
"Best of Show" is always a purple ribbon. Love it, this definitely is the best creation of your series for this piece.
I admire you stitching all those curves. Are you stitching quarter inch seams or less ? They are perfect.

Volevo farti i complimenti perchè il tuo blog è bellissimo ed usi dei colori per le stoffe bellissimi!!!
A little purple can fix just about anything! :-)
I love the purple. Well chosen. And I love what you are doing with the cure pieces. I'm anxious to see how that turns out.
Hi Wanda,
I wasn't quite sure what you were looking for (probably would be easier to see in person), but wow, that quilt top does look good with the purple busy print and the zebra.
I may have missed an earlier comment, but are you going to cut into the arc blocks to place the new arcs, or just applique them on top?

Your eye for color and mix of pattern is incredible. The title of your blog is right on! I've made a quilt using "Strips and Curves" but was not aware of her second technique. Thanks for the heads up.
Well, you said it... you would know when it was right:-) Love the purple. It really looks quite at home.
Ok... can't wait to see it quilted!
I really like it with the purple.
I can't wait to see the die cuts quilt take shape. It looks fabulous!
