I always check Sitemeter in the morning to see how many people visit before I post. This morning there were already 120 visitors by 8 a.m. I checked the referring URL's and a bunch of people came from a yahoo group. Since I can't find out what anyone said that would bring so many visitors, I want to think they said something good, and welcome the new visitors.

More blocks added
All I got done yesterday in quilt related activity was 3 more blocks to finish the layout. I am still contemplating making 2 wallhangings instead of a quilt. Right now I think this one would be in the range of 64" x 80". If I made 2 wallhangings they would be in the 50" square range. I will play with setting triangles and then make my decision. Actually I could go back into my photo program and crop this and see what it looks like with half blocks as setting triangles.

Wanda I'd vote for the big quilt - I just love big quilts I guess. If it was me and I made 2 wallhangings then I'd think I had to give one away and I have such a hard time giving up my babies. :( I think that means I'm selfish. Doggone it, I need to work on that. Blessings, marlene

I like the idea of 1/2 blocks in place of 'formal' setting triangles...
And I would lean towards developing two smaller pieces (especially with your amazing eye for color).

I think half squares as setting triangles will look fabulous! I'd be tempted to make a large quilt too -- as it will be so spectacular. Not to say that two wall hangings wouldn't be fantastic too -- but a large quilt in that design would be really breathtaking.
I bet someone has said something about your amazing use of colour on some Yahoo group and that sent them all over to look!
I read somewhere that another quilter tosses some fabric on the floor, then adds/removes pieces until she gets combos that she likes. That made me curious about how you select your color combinations. I know that you don't eenie-meanie or throw darts! LOL. Or is this a great secret only known to color experts as yourself?

The wood-grain sashing looks so beautiful with these blocks. I love the full impact of all the colors, so I'd vote to keep it as one big quilt instead of two wall-hangings.

Your good information about needles was the start of the click-fest. My guess is that the sheer bee-yoo-ty of your quilts got people to stick around!
I love the color and fabric in this layout. I tend to go rather traditional or primitve. I need to start using more color!
