Happy Birthday to me

I am 67 years old today. I still feel like I'm in my 40's on the inside, but then I have 2 kids in their 40's so I have to admit to being older. Here I am at 14, so innocent and child like. Would any 14 year olds wear saddle shoes and socks like those today? Back in the 1950's we were allowed to be children while we were young and we still turned out ok. In this picture I was at a 4-H award night and am holding my blue ribbon for the loaf of bread.

Have a happy day everyone!

Happy Birthday to you!! I think your inside age is so much more important than your outside age. One of the ladies in the hand sewing group I belong to is in her 70s, but seems at least 10 years younger. You should have seen her floating around last weekend at our retreat when the hotel owner guessed that he was 58! So, go on feeling like 40 as long as you want to. :-)

OK so what is the best birthday goodie you like to eat, and what is the best way to celebrate your day? Fantasy desserts are accepted. Are your kids giving you a party?

Have a very happy birthday! the photo reminded me of my 4-H cooking entries - mostly chocolate chip cookies. What fun that was!

Happy Birthday! Age is relative... my dad used to say being two years old depends -- is it a horse, a man, or an egg? :-)

Bless you!

Many happy, happy returns, Wanda! We know that you're really only 39! It's probably the chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies that are keeping you young. And, of course, your enthusiasm and passion for exuberant color and wonderful texture!!

Have a wonderful birthday!

Happy Birthday! I had a pair of saddle shoes and loved them. I agree that kids grow up way to fast today. They'll be old before their time, unlike us who stay young.

Wanda ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!

When I was working at a private college a few years ago, I searched out and purchased saddle shoes to wear when working the extended Homecoming weekend events. You would have loved hearing the comments and shared memories of the alumni!!

Take care and enjoy your day... j

Happy Birthday Wanda.
I feel like that inside too!

I feel sorry for the kids of today, who have to grow up before their time.

Obviously you have talents in other directions from your sewing, with your blue Ribbon bread! A lovely pic.
