Fabric Gift Certificate

I had a gift certificate to the equilter.com store so I did what I was supposed to do. I used it. And I got 1/2 yard of several new batiks that I "needed". I chose the colors that have not been common in past years to fill in my stash. My blues and turquoises
My blacks, browns, rusts, oranges, and yellows.
My greens
The multicolors
The reds, pinks and purples.
So you see I "needed" the lime greens and bright reds.

Every artist would say they need a full palette to do their best work... why do we as quilters often feel a bit guilty for having our palette full?

Good grief, I envy you! But that is another kind of guilt!!

Have fun "painting" with all of this today!

Wonderful!
You could never have too many colours to weave your wonderful magic with colours.

You did "need" that fabric ;-) I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes a new fabric can be the entire base for a new creation.

That lime green one was the one I favored right away when I saw your new additions to your stash. Oh, your stash is so wonderfully ample! And so well organized.

It's all so neatly stacked... What size cuts do you buy when you don't have a specific project. Those folds don't look terribly thick?

(I am usually a 1/2 yard gal...)

Somehow these stash photos seem to be saying "Denise, come over and play - we're waiting for you". The colorwash of these stash stacks are inspirational!

Shameless gloating!

But in a good way.
