Finish #2

Two down and I still need to make at least one more. This one is 46" square. April first is the deadline to have them at the gallery. They have what they call a Parade of Quilts throughout the shop and they want to get them all hung before the mass of people drive down Interstate 57 to Paducah for the big show. The Illinois Artisans shop has a huge variety of art including all forms, glass, wood, fiber, and more. It is a good place to stop for a break and a feast for the eyes. The sun is shining again today but it is cool, actually frosty this morning. The robins are here and the birds are singing in the back yard in the mornings. That is a sure sign of spring, even though they have used the word SNOW in our week forecast.

Wandy, I love the layout on your string blocks! I just took a workshop about color and string piecing, but we didn't do this! As always, your quilting makes me happy.

Ooooooh... that is a very pretty quilt. It reminds me of facets of a gem reflecting the light from different angles. Awesome!

An absolutely brillant quilt. This quilt will be a 'show stopper' for sure. When making a comment I like to discribe your quilt with as much creativity as the quilt. I can't top 'rebel's comment~ "facets of a gem reflecting the light from different angles".

This must be a 'juried show'. Sounds like a wonderful one to attend.

It is just lovely! It reminds me of the glowing colours of the Rainbow Lorrikeets!
I enlarge your photos & just sit & saturate in the glorious colours.

Wanda, hyur color sense is fabulous. Your quilts are fantastic riots of color. I always smile, stare, and smile some more. I just read your last few posts. I have not been on the computer for a few days. Your quilts make me feel so much happier. Thank you.

Please excuse the typo (hyur). Phonetically speaking, it makes absolute sense to me! See what happens when I am not on the computer for a few days?

Love these fresh colors and the way you arranged the blocks. Did you use a paper-pieced pattern with the strings angled so that you could get them all the same? I like the symmetry of it. It sparkles!

I like that you alternated the light and dark in the corners. It's very clever and adds sparkle. Your ideas are so fresh. -quiltking
