In my attempt to clean up after making the Gridlock quilt I am making strips sets to use for table mats with a modified Gridlock pattern. I have already made green, brown and purple. I'm using firm thick interfacing and fusible batting as my 2 layers of padding so they are firmer and flatter than a mug rug.
My birthday Amaryllis is blooming already. Usually they get really tall and threaten to tip over but this one couldn't wait. It has a second bud peeking out that hasn't grown at all in 3 weeks but I think it will start shooting up when all 4 of these buds are open.

Hmm, the amaryllis colors and the colors in the first photo are very related. Maybe that is why I love fabric so much.
I am SO looking forward to more mindless sewing in 2022 -- no more lists (or a lot fewer anyway) and NO monthly deadlines!
Beautiful and bright amaryllis, I haven't bought one this year and seeing yours has reminded me, must go and have a peek at the local garden centre.
