I didn't get any sewing done yesterday. I baked for 4 hours to make a variety of cookies to send to my granddaughter's house. The baby is supposed to be born on Friday and she will need some treats to pull out of the freezer for a couple weeks. I'll send some more to her when a family member goes west to help her out in a couple weeks. I know the 2 great grandsons will love the cookies.

How charming to send cookies to celebrate the newly expanded family. I'm enjoying thinking about solid and print combination quilts at the moment, perhaps I have one about to be thought of.

Baking can be hard work, but I bet your house smells wonderful! Those cookies will be appreciated.
The solids really work to "tame" the prints. I like it!

What fun "conversation" prints, I'd like to have each one of those prints in my stash. Just thinking ... I would frame or border each block with the solid fabric. For me the solid window distracts from the prints. You are the designer and can see the outcome of the entire quilt top and I know it will be another one of your great pieces.

I like this quilt pattern. I have made similar ones using the book "Happy Hour" from Atkinson Designs. It is a favorite pattern because it is easy and I can use up small pieces of fabric.

You can also move the window orientation from the large piece making a few more possibilities.
