All I managed to sew yesterday was three framed 9 patches. It was errand day. On the way home the fan stopped working on my air conditioning in the van. It was 85 degrees outside according to the my van's thermometer and that was cooler than the inside of my van. Needless to say I went straight to the repair place on the way home. Hopefully it will be replaced Thursday.
My friends were digging out their good sized Rudbeckia plants so I said I would take them. I planted them on Sunday.
There is a pipe that marks the lot line between me and my back yard neighbor and I have whacked my shin on it many times. I planted 2 of these right near it so that hopefully I won't do that ever again. My neighbor will be able to enjoy the blooms too in a few weeks.

I would need the A/C fixed too right away - can't do without it here although this week is beautiful - I know it won't last but wow 58 at night and 75 daytime this week and low humidity!
Those are some pretty blocks. I remember a quilt made with blocks like that but they had a limited color pallet. II have the pictures somewhere. When I find them I will email them to you. I had to look up to see what rudbeckia looked like. Are yours the yellow ones?
Sweet to have neighbors that share, I am blessed with a neighbor like that. We are always sharing things "come over and look at this to see if you want it before I donate it" . . . I tell her any time she is lonesome for her things to come over and visit, LOL.
Those are great nine patches- so much color!
Everything looks so lush in your yard- all that rain and humidity.
You got some sewing in yesterday, better than none. You have my sympathy with all your humidity and hope it dries up soon, for you. Nothing zaps ones energy like hot humidity.

If I were your neighbor I know I'd enjoy looking at your yard! But you might not enjoy my chickens!!! LOL
I would worry about you or a neighbor falling onto that pipe and getting seriously injured. Can you get someone to pound it further into the ground? In our yards, they are down quite a bit more than that. Or cover it with an upside down flower pot. That way you might get bruised, but not impaled. Take care.
