I finished sewing the 2 new chicks to go with the first one that has the heart. I decided the other 2 just needed a patch of flowers. They will go up on the design wall with the rest of the Farm Girl Vintage blocks today. They are supposed to have embroidered legs.
I ended up reading for a few hours yesterday afternoon. I was so close to the end of this book that I just had to finish it. It was really good. Now I will read another by this author next.
The milkweed in the front garden already has flowers forming. This seems kind of early since the plants are only about 2 feet tall.
The name of this one always escapes me and I have both lavender and white blooming in the same flower bed.

I don't know the name of the lilac/white flowers but they are very pretty.
Because of my eye sight I don't read books any more. But looking on the positive side, it lead me to audio books which I get free from my local library on-line. I love to listen while sewing and using my cordless headphones means I can garden and do other jobs around the house. I've read/heard a few from David Baldacci, but not the one you've shown. Enjoy your reading or sewing or whatever you're doing today :)
I've read a few of his and the twists are the best part of his stories (for me anyway). I don't read much anymore... I need need to be doing 2 things at once if I want to get it all done!!! So I listen while doing.
I love Baldacchi's books. The Winner was the first one that got me hooked on him. Those chicks are too cute!
The chicks turned out cute! I always like seeing what is blooming in your yard. I am still waiting for something to bust open in mine - LOL!!!
Adorable chicks. The mystery plants are Lamium.
Wanda, I think this is Dead Nettle, as I have the same in parts of our yard.
It also goes by the name of Lamium. I also love David Baldacci and have listened to every one of his books, as I am a huge Mystery fan. Love those little chicks, but are they going to be legless? lol Have a good day.
I always think I’ll do embroidery but I don’t. LOL. So I’d just add some skinny leg strips in that rectangle under them. They are really cute chicks!
The plant is lamium. I have the one with yellow flowers. I like yours.
So happy to see the little chicks joining the rest of your farm . It's been a fun quilt top to watch grow. I think I'll have to try and audio book, that sounds like my kind of reading.

I love those chick blocks--sweet--and nice color fabrics on them--
luv, di
Baldacchi books are really good. I love those little chicks.
Some books just DEMAND to be finished RIGHT NOW -- and everything else has to get in line. Like the flower patches with your chicks!
Cute little chicks. I would need to the embroidery right away or just would never get around to it. (I do love doing it!) Good to know about the author and I looked him up on a used book site.
"Here a chick, there a chick, everywhere a chick-chick..." they are just so adorable...
I haven't read Balducci--will give him a try..thanks, Hugs, Julierose
I do like those little chicks! And David Baldacci. My favorite is Wish You Well.
