I couldn't seem to stick with just one project yesterday. I did a little more ditch quilting on the X and + quilt, cut pieces for the Hunter Star quilt and cut more squares for the postage stamp blocks.
I got one block sewn in one direction, ready for pressing.
I laid out the next one to sew today.
We finally got some rain and the grass is getting tall but it is still dry and brown in lots of patches. It seems like such a long time since I mowed last.

Our grass is a bit greener as we had a whole day of rain yesterday--finally.
Today it is just "soupy" out there...we might just as well leave that AC on all the time lately..
Nice that you got all that prepped for today. I also like to lay out my next bit of sewing ready to go for my snowball marathon ;)))

Good morning Wanda. Hope you're not complaining about the length of time since you've mowed, unless it's something you look forward to. lol My husband wanted to mow the lawn yesterday, but then it began to rain, so he thought maybe he would do it today, but I don't that's gonna happen either.
I'm happy it's been raining, as it's another day I don't have to water the cucumber plants, since they require so much water to keep them from drying out, even in huge pots. The tomatoes are able to go without daily watering, thank goodness. Enjoy your day.
Fun to see your progress on your Postage Stamp blocks. Golden yellow and aqua solids make your prints sparkle. You had too much rain in the spring and now you're so dry. It's been very unusual seasons this year. Even here on the valley. We've gotten several thunder and lightning storms with RAIN. The positive is forest fires have been very low.

I didn't mow last week and it doesn't look like it needs it much this week either, except maybe to even it up. I'll wait until it is cooler - maybe later in the week. You are making great progress on both of the projects.
The more I see your posts of the postage stamp b locks the more I thin k I will b e making one soon. I showed my husband your post from 6 August with 20 blocks on the wall and he loved it!!
After such a wet spring you are having a much drier summer. Wonder what fall will bring. I love that yellow block.
DH is cutting our grass every 3-4 days right now. It will slow down but not for several more weeks. Are you choosing the solids for your postage stamps as you go or did you have a pre-chosen group in mind?
