First finish for August 2019.........and more..........

I finished the binding before noon yesterday and then went to the basement for the photo shoot.  This quilt is 44" x 68".  I used a pattern "Keep Out" by Maple Island but I made changes to the border

I mentioned a couple days ago that the backing was 57" wide so I could use as is without piecing.  The backing fabric is a little heavier and stiffer than usual so this one needs to be washed right away to see if it will soften.

Here is another WIP that I need to finish.  I didn't have enough of my first choice for sashing so I searched through my stash and found one very similar in color.  I just need to cut the rest of the sashing strips and corner squares and then I can sew it together.  Here is a view of all of the blocks on the design wall.

While I was working in the basement I came across one of my favorite older fabrics.  I have 5.5 yards of it.  Now I just need to make the quilt to go with it so I can use it for the back.

Well, you certainly have inspiration for a quilt using that last fabric you showed...right out your kitchen window! I only wish I could get half as much done in a day as you do, Wanda.

I really like that pattern. It is a great finish in those fabrics. I'll be looking forward to seeing what quilt design you come up with for that backing.

I love the finish of your Black and White. Your border with the smaller blocks in the corners really sets it off plus adds to the great design over all. I clicked back to take a look at your WIP blocks up on the wall and the kalidescope like designs always are one of my favorites.

Your black and white quilt is beautiful! I had forgotten about your triangle star blocks - it's amazing how different they all look with the values in various places. Can't wait to see what you make to go with the Jenny Beyer backing - ;))
