Postage stamp block report...............

I completed 4 more of last week's 7 postage stamp blocks.

That makes a grand total of 6 out of 7 finished for the week.

Here are all 20 blocks so far.  My original plan was to make 63 blocks for a quilt 56" x 72".  Now I'm wondering if I would be happy with a quilt 48" x 72".  That is a good ratio for a rectangular quilt.  Decision will be made later.
The number 7 block was laid out but didn't get sewn last week.

My backyard garden is just starting to bloom.  Last year on this date it was in full bloom and my daughter took pictures of me with my quilts among the flowers.

those blocks are really gorgeous--I really like how the prints move throughout against the solids. Beautiful work,Wanda hugs, Julierose

Those blocks are terrific. I would love to see it bigger, but I don't have to quilt it. I just got back from 5 days in Maine on the ocean and am a bit afraid to look at my garden closely. I found out that the goldfish in the pond are gone, don't know how, makes me sad.

Beautiful blocks. This is going to look awesome and I look forward to seeing your blocks come together in a quilt. Would be a very nice wall hanging.

love your blocks. This summer is an odd year - one week extra hot and then cooler - this week should be nice from what they say I hope your weeks is too

The postage stamp blocks are so pretty. If you don't have a deadline to get this top done why not just stew on it before deciding how big to make it. The garden is looking good. I need to do some serious weeding in my center flower bed, but that isn't going to happen until the heat goes away.

I've started cutting some scraps to start this. It will be a while. Seeing your blocks motivates me to get them started!

You have more patience than anyone I know stitching those tiny postage stamps together to make one block. It's been a fun piece go watch grow.

I've been toying with the idea of using the postage stamp blocks to make a small wall hanging for the rotating quilt spot in our dining room. I have already decided I don't want to make a full size quilt (even though I love Lynn's and the way your blocks are looking).

Well, I have three baskets of scraps so no shortage of those to possibly make a postage stamp but would take your advice from your reply to me to not go with 2" finished but 1 and 1/2". I just love the effect of these blocks.

Your garden looks lovely and your quilt is amazing. It looks very time consuming. I would have a real hard time matching all those little corners. You are a far far better quilter than I. I love visiting and seeing what you're up to, you are an inspiration.

Love these blocks. Just a thought - you mentioned the sizes you are toying with. Personally, I find 48 x 72 too long and skinny. Well, too skinny for that length. 56 x 72 looks more proportional, to my eye. Thanks for all you share!
