Progress on two............

I sewed 10 more zipper blocks.  I have 57 blocks made now.

I sewed the one postage stamp block that I showed on my design board a couple days ago.

6 more colors have been cut for the postage stamp blocks.  I need to make 5 more this week.

I went out in the bright sunshine yesterday morning to take photos of my flowers.  Coneflowers are here and there through the back garden.

The lilies seem happy in this part of the garden.  They get morning sun and then are in the shade all the rest of the day.

You are making good progress on the zipper blocks and the postage stamp blocks. The garden is looking good. I have to tackle the weeds this weekend before they take over. They only way to do that is to get up very early. I plan on having my box fan blowing on me while I weed and maybe I will be able to tolerate the humidity. The fan will also help the bugs stay away from buzzing around my face as the sweat pours off of me!

What I love about the solids/prints is the solids seem to hover over the quilt. Your blocks are turning out great and it is fun to watch the number grow.

We had sunshine yesterday but today it is cloudy and hot/humid sans sun. Fun to watch your progress on these two blocks.

Those blocks are turning out so well. The postage stamp is a great idea.

Love the soft neutral solids on your postage stamp blocks. The prints just pop ! Today's block shows it well. "Zippers" and lilies add to your nice post today.

I've been catching up on your blog posts. I have old fabric, too, but mine was given to me. I'm trying to use it all. I may have to live a very long time! Those postage stamp blocks are so attractive. I'm resisting starting any. I am trying to get more quilts finished for the USO. Your flowers are pretty. It's hot here, too. I'm ready for Autumn!

I never thought I would want to make a postage stamp quilt but continuing to see your progress makes it look enticing. I certainly have the fabrics and scraps to cut up! The zipper quilt is quite interesting, too. Thank you for continuing to share your beautiful and inspiring quilts!!
