Fun with fabric...........

Yesterday turned out to be a very busy day so last night I just took 2 stacks of fabrics off the shelves and sorted through them and re-stacked them in a different order.  This is one of my favorite cute prints.  You can see the date on the selvage, 22 years old.  I still remember the day I bought it.
This one is 19 years old and by Kona Bay fabrics.  The leaves are quite large and I haven't used any of this piece yet.

Then 14 years later (5 years ago) they came out with a very similar print in a smaller format and the print turned the opposite direction on the fabric.  I have this one in 4 colors.  I think I need to use some of these fabrics this month.  Maybe I need to set aside one day a week where I go to the shelves and pull a fabric I have never cut off of and find some companion fabrics and make a few blocks.

My pacemaker appointment went well, no irregularities in my heartbeat and the battery still has between 4.5 and 5.5 years of life.  I told the technician that I have been tired so she tweaked the pacemaker to hopefully give me a little more energy.  It's an amazing little gadget and mine works 100% of the time.  The pacemaker only kicks in when it is needed so some people get a longer life out of their batteries because the pacemaker is working less often.  I'm not sure how they fix it when they my battery runs out.

You have such an amazing collection of fabrics. Good news about your pacemaker appointment - when your battery runs out they connect you to an electrical terminal haha (jk) - failing that they re-open you up and insert another battery. I'm sure it's a simple fix :) Another hot day here today 73f/23c - for me anyway :(

Those leaf fabrics are so pretty. I have never seen those prints. I am glad that your appointment went well. I guess next time you have a check up you ought to ask how they change the battery. I would hope it wouldn't mean another surgery.

Good news about your pacemaker. It’s odd how they can tweak something and you feel more energy.

Good morning Wanda. My husband just went for his pacemaker checkup and according to his last readout, he has 1 more year left and then they will surgically open him up and replace the battery, after which he should have approximately 6 years before it needs replacing again. Love your cute little lambs fabric, and know you will come up with an interesting plan for it. Stay cool....we are really in for a few days of close to 100 degree temps, starting tomorrow.

What a cute print- I don't remember that one from 22 years ago! The leaves are lovely, too. Would love to see what you do with them. Good news on your check up, and doesn't it just make you so grateful the things that can be done medically? Amazing!

hope the tweaking of the pacemaker gives you more energy. I know the heat and humid of summer gives me less energy

My husband has a pacemaker that also operates 100% of the time. His first one lasted 6 or 7 years, and he had the unit replaced a few years ago. It is minor surgery to replace it (at least, I think it is considered minor - no hospital stay).

I love that leaf fabric! Would love to see your stash! Sounds like you have an infinite vault of fabrics.

Such cute cartoon sheep and your leaf prints have a magical glow to them.

I remember you had your pacemaker tweaked before. Evidently it does work or you wouldn't have had the technician do it again. Reading the comments today was very informative about battery replacement for a pace maker.

Love seeing the retro fabrics. Yep, they will monitor your pacemaker and will replace the batteries before they lose their charge.

I'm drooling over your fabric, LOL. Those leaf patterns are gorgeous and the sheep did put a smile on my face :)

Your sheep fabric makes me smile! Your leaf fabric is beautiful and makes me wonder what it would look like as a OBW block with all of the graphic lines and bursts of color. Interesting info on the pacemaker - I never thought about them having to replace the batteries - or recharging them when they run out - hopefully it's a simple fix and doesn't require more surgery - ;))
